Gary will be going home to Tony and wife in NC where he will be a treasured companion.
I’ve attached a recent pic of Gary stuffing his toys in Tony’s shoes. We took him to the vets yesterday for scheduled stuff (“he’s perfect” per vet). We’re proud to report he weighs 2.9lbs! Gary eats extremely well. He’s not a lap cat (yet) but loves playing with feathery toys. He has a high leap as well. We’ve tried various commercial items to stop him from scratching the couches but they haven’t worked. Vet suggested double sided tape or aluminum foil in the areas he’s scratching. Ugly but worked for her cats until they were trained.
Hello Betsy – pic update for you. Gary is over 6 lbs and looks like a bowling ball! We had him neutered in Jan. He’s doing great but he eats too fast. We’ve stayed on the food types/amount regiment you suggested. However, because he’s still capable of destroying the entire house, we still keep him in his own room – a powder room. We feed him around 7am and then again ~4pm. He plays for a while before we put him back in. We also let him out around 7:30pm and lure him back into the room with diluted chicken water. He still wants to rough house and will bite/scratch every now and then (mostly me).
just wanted to send you a couple current pics of Gary. He's now 14.2 lbs and adorable.
He's as healthy as can be and loves to tear through the house
