The rarest of all hybrids, little "Bagheera" ( now known as Bella) a Melanistic (Black Spots on Black Coat) F-1 Safari female is our neweest addition here at Belle Hollow. Safari is a cross between a male Geoffroy's Cat and a female domestic cat. Safari is proported to be the most docile of the first generation hybrids. Because the Geoffroy's Cat has 38 chromosomes and the domestic only has 36, the gene that stops growth is impaired making the Safari a true giant with females growing to roughly 2 to 3 times the size of the mother cat and males growing 3 to 4 times that size.
