This one I took a couple of weeks ago of Nefi, Jazz and Versace. Jazz is in the middle with the huge tummy!
Bella's black on black spot pattern like that of a black jaguar is clearly visible in this shot.
Good Morning from Hobbes, F-1 Savannah Male.
Howard said he sent you a few pics but Bella would not hold still. Most of my pics of her are just a streak of black. Here is one I got the other night. She cracks me up.
Hi Momma Betsy!
I just turned one the other day! Happy Birthday to meeeee! Here I am, almost all grown up. I weigh 12 lbs. and they tell me I am very handsome. I must be because Momma Candyce kisses me all day long. I like it though because we are best buddies. We headbutt while she does dishes, I sleep on top of her at night and we go out to my special kitty yard every day. I've really improved my eating habits by not eating blankets or rubbery items anymore. I do still like wicker. Mom thinks I will outgrow this and gives me a chicken leg in the afternoon so I can satisfy that desire to crunch. She tells me I'm perfect. I guess I am. Okay, time to go chase one of my brothers.
Here is a little 'Dega for you, not even her kitten! She loves kittens, it doesn't matter whose.
Right now she is fostering 2 F7's with her babies. She just sniffs and takes them in, like where did I leave those? Thank you for bringing them back!
Gracie Belle is as beautiful as ever. Still the queen of her household.
Jamba is on my legs purring and suckling on the blanket kneading. He does this often :)
Bella & Howard enjoying a lazy wet Sunday. The way lazy days should be enjoyed.
Zulu is super healthy and has only been to the vet once since she was spayed. About 1 months ago she stopped eating for a few days. The vet visit was quite an ordeal, but ended up just fine. While she was sedated they did many tests and ultimately determined that she is text book healthy and beautiful. She got some sort of infection from some tainted arugula. She likes some greens in her food and I always buy organic. This one time they were out of organic and I was going out of town so I had to buy what was available. I noticed she was being extremely picky with her food when I got home, and our cat sitter said the same while we were gone. I opened the arugula and let her put her face in it. Normally she would run off with some, but this time she jumped back and ran away from it, so I knew something was wrong with it. I tossed it right away, but she was already infected with something. Anyway, she is great now. All of the vet techs who had never seen a savannah were watching the vet work on her, and they told me they all went to touch her and take pictures of her while she was sedated. She is quite beautiful :)
It's been way too long since I've updated you on Zulu. I can't believe she is 4 now. She is a big, beautiful girl and we love her immensely. She is very servally, in that she absolutely HATES to be held and is not a lap cat at all. But she loves us very strongly--we are her people. She follows us everywhere and gives head butts all the time. She is also a guard kitty. She patrols the perimeter to make sure things are safe before we go to bed each night and then she stays on the landing outside our bedroom, where she can see the upstairs and downstairs at the same time, until we fall asleep. Only then will she allow herself to sleep. In addition, if my husband isn't home and someone comes to the door, she'll get in the window, make herself very poofy, and growl. Always protecting me :)
Zulu LOVES her brother Duma so much and they play regularly. She and Maximus are not as good of friends as Maximus can be kind of a jerk sometimes, but they tolerate each other. She loves cardboard boxes, no matter what size. She likes to sit in them and chew them up, whittle them down, and sleep in them.
Here's a recent pic of Zulu. She LOVES a freshly cleaned kitchen counter and absolutely will not get down until she's ready. She looks very pleased with herself, doesn't she? :)
