Segue F-1 Savannah Male just after arriving home with Mike at 8 weeks
15 weeks: from a camping trip we took in November. It was a model rocketry weekend.
Billy is doing great! Everyone has fallen in love with him, head-over-heels. Randy and I are clearly besotted, Drella loved him from the first moment, and Edie got over her hissy fits in short order and is now a proud big sister. Here is a picture I took this morning of Billy and Drella:
Otis has settled in nicely with Pat and Suzanne
Otis, F-1 Savannah Male, at home with Pat and Suzanne in Winston-Salem. He appears to have taken over.
Otis and his new friend Tesla, an Australian Shepard puppy. They are still deciding who's in charge although it looks like Otis may be winning!
She has also become much more affectionate with both me and my husband as well. It's hard to get good pictures of Zulu--she doesn't like the camera and tends to make an ugly face, or runs away. She is MUCH more beautiful in person :)
She continued this funny behavior for about 2 weeks, and then all of the sudden, she was in love with Duma!
And now they are great friends and they play chase and kitty wrestling often :) I even caught them almost cuddling the other day.
She seemed to be a bit insecure and in need of more than usual affection. In addition, she may have been a bit mad at me because she would drag my pillow all around the house and tear apart my side of the bed.
In July, we added one more beautiful savannah to our kitty family. At first, Zulu wasn't so sure about the little new guy.
This morning, as I was making my bed, I found one of Billy's favorite toys tucked into the covers where Randy sleeps: When I looked more closely, I was shocked to find one of Drella's uneaten mice! Billy thinks they're toys... and he loves bringing his toys on the bed to toss around and play with while we sleep. EWWWWW!
Billy is the most well-adjusted kitten I've ever encountered. From the first moment, he fit right in to every aspect of our household. He sleeps on the bed with us all night, eats heartily, hasn't had a mistake with the litter box, gets along perfectly with Drella and Edie, and is the sweetest, most affectionate purr-ball ever. Billy plays for hours with his new friends but seeks his human pals at sleeping time. During the nap hours of the day, Billy can be found sleeping on Randy's desk or mine. He wakes up periodically to give us head-butts and face-licks. If one of us leaves our office, our little gray shadow is soon to follow.
This is Zulu the day she arrived with Dr. Lysa and Randy
She likes to hold him down and kiss him all over, even when he walks right up to her while she's eating and puts his face in her food bowl and eats her food!
Otis claims the high ground and shows off his very servaline features
Michelle says Jamba, F-1 Savannah Male, is the best present under the tree!
Segue 15 weeks rocketry weekend. He even spent some time at the campfire.
Otis is his daddy Pat's baby. That's the way it should be for all our very special F-1s!
He's the biggest cuddle-bunny! Every morning about four, he crawls under the covers with me. About seven, he runs downstairs for breakfast when Randy gets up. Then he's back under the covers with me until I get up at nine. What a delightful little cat he is!
